1. This is Emu Point beach where we were surpised to find so many people.
2. I love these trees. They are very symmetrical like an artificial Xmas tree.
3. Owd misery on his own beach - Misery Bay.

1. Had a great time visiting beaches and bays around Albany, but too many steps in some places!
2. Albany had a very neat little church on the main street.
3. The Dog Rock. So called after a story about settlers whose dog was too friendly with some Aboriginals who got frightened and accidentally killed it with thbeir spears..
4. This dog arrived dressed for the beach and ready for tennis!.
1. On our way into Albany we found a herd of camels.
2. Chatty magpie. We went for a walk and sat on a park bench.This magpie walked over to me and started a series of warblings. I started answering it and we had quite a chat for 5 mins or so. It even said hello and wolf whistled.!
3. On the road to Emu Beach there were turtle warning signs. I think they must lay their eggs in the sand dunes.
4. We visited the wind farm.
1. The local bakery in Hopetoun had nice pies and pasties.
2. Can't resist a closing down sale!
3. This tree is growing sideways due to the strong winds wich can happen in Hopetoun.
4. We stayed at the Port Hotel and had a room on the balcony. The wind was so strong we couldn't open the bedroom window or stand up on the balcony! The ROARING FORTIES!!.
1. We drove on to Cap Le Grande beach and the sea was more like a mill pond.
2. With a 4wd you could drive the 22km to Wylie Bay near Esperance along the beach!
3. If you arrived from Wylie Bay at the beach you still had the park fee to pay. No escape!
4. Esperance is the port for the Goldfields area. This bulk carrier arrived during the night. We think it was being loaded with nickel which is mined locally.
1. Me having a paddle on Lucky Beach. The water was very cold straight from the Antarctic, but what a colour.
2. A flower near Frenchmans Peak, not sure what.
3. Hellfire Beach, well-named because of the strong and unpredictable waves. Richard had just got caught by one!

1. On our way to Esperance we went through this village. I thought Grass Patch was a great name especially as there isn't any grass to be seen!
2.Today, Tues 1 Mar, we had a drive to Cap le Grande National Park and the first thing we saw was Frenchmans Peak. The white mark near the top is actually a hole.
3. Thistle Cove.
4. We arrived at Lucky Bay and found these kangaroos on the beach.
